Chennai:
Within days of announcing candidates for all 30 Assembly seats in poll-bound Puducherry, AIADMK today reached a pollpact with newly floated All-India N R Congress, allotting a majority of seats to it.
AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa indicated her party might have to forego some more seats of its share of 13 as talks are still on with allies DMDK and Left parties and said party cadres who had filed nominations for seats that could be allotted to these parties have to withdraw their papers.
In a statement here, Jayalalithaa announced a revised list of candidates, taking 13 for her party and giving 17 out of the 30 seats to All India NR Congress,floated by former Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy.
