President Barack Obama's visit to India was marshalled today by the BJP's Kiran Bedi as part of her campaign to be elected as Chief Minister of Delhi.
"Today, Obama has come and all of India is flying. Modi has done so much. Obama would not just have come like that," said Ms Bedi at an election meeting in the capital today.
Ms Bedi is leading the BJP's charge for next month's election in Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal is running against her for Chief Minister as the candidate of his Aam Aadmi Party or AAP.
Sources in the group say that they may complain to the Election Commission about President Obama's trip being unfairly used by the BJP in Delhi to impress voters. The code of conduct for elections is in force in Delhi, which means the government cannot use policy announcements or decisions to influence voters.
That hasn't stopped Rajiv Babbar, a BJP candidate in Delhi, from putting up posters that show him with POTUS and Ms Bedi, where the US leader was the Guest of Honour.
Delhi votes on February 7. Results will be declared three days later.
