12 Kolkata-bound flights diverted due to bad weather
Kolkata: Twelve incoming flights to the N S C B International airport at Kolkata were diverted Friday due to inclement weather, airport sources said.

With visibility drastically coming down at noon and in the evening, the flights of Air India and 11 other airlines were diverted to different nearby destinations including North-East, the sources said.

While one Air India flight on Silchar-Guwahati-Kolkata route was diverted to Agartala at around 12 pm, other flights of Jet Airways, Indigo, Kingfisher from Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai as well as North-East cities had to be diverted to other airports, the sources said.

The visibility at 12 pm on Friday was 1,000 metres against the minimum mark of 800 metre, which dropped to the same during evening hours, the sources said.
