Dense fog continued to disrupt flights and train schedule in Delhi for the second day today.
Flight operations, which were suspended at the Indira Gandhi International Airport for about five hours since 5 am, have resumed with the opening of both the runways. (

The five-hour long disruption had thrown the schedule of over 200 flights - 179 domestic and 45 international - in disarray. (

Three domestic flights - Delhi-Mumbai IndiGo flight 171, Delhi-Mumbai GoAir flight 330 and Delhi-Jammu GoAir flight 181 - also had to be cancelled.
The connecting flight of a group of Chandigarh-bound passengers from Bangalore via Delhi was cancelled. They have been reportedly offered a coach to Chandigarh by their airlines. "The day is anyway wasted," one of the group members said angrily.
A passenger on board a Spice Jet flight to Jaipur said her flight that was scheduled to leave at 7.15 am remained on the taxiway till 9 am.
Passengers who checked in online said they had no idea about the cancellation of their flights. A large congregation of passengers could be seen at the departure and arrival gates of the airport.
Yesterday, schedules of around 140 flights were affected after Delhi witnessed the winter's first fog. Nine flights were diverted while eight were cancelled.
The dense fog also delayed trains coming to or going out of Delhi. Railway officials said at least 14 trains were delayed.
Three trains going out of Delhi - the Lucknow Shatabdi Express, North-East Express and Odisha Sampark Kranti Express - were rescheduled.
Dense fog has also been reported from cities like Amritsar, Patiala, Ganganagar, Agra and Hissar.
