Fellow passengers did not help the girls
Rohtak:
Two college-going sisters fought three men who were harassing them onboard a Haryana Roadways bus, even as the fellow passengers did not bother to help them.
Late on Sunday night, police said all the three youths - Kuldeep, Mohit and Deepak - have been arrested.
"We have arrested the three accused and they will be produced before court tomorrow," Rohtak SP Shanshank Anand said.
A case under Section 354 (assault or criminal force with intent to outrage woman's modesty) and Section 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) of the Indian Penal Code have been registered against them, he said.
The incident took place on Friday when the girls, both students of final year BSc, boarded a bus to their village from Rohtak. As soon as the girls boarded the crowded bus, the men started passing lewd comments. When the men did not stop after repeated warnings, the girls decided to take action and started beating them up. (

While one of the girls started hitting a harasser directly, another used a belt to do the same.
"When we were at the bus station, the men started throwing chits at us with numbers written on them. When my sister objected to this, they started abusing us. Inside the bus, they made some obscene gestures after I which we lost our patience and started beating them. One of the men grabbed my sister's hand and the other held me by the neck. That's when my sister took out her belt and started hitting the men," said one of the girls.
The men threw us out of the bus due to which I've sustained injuries, the girl added.
The entire incident, recorded by a passenger on mobile phone, went viral on social media.
The girls reported the matter to their parents who lodged an FIR with Sonepat police.
