Anas Khan (24) wasn't happy with who he was. And he was prepared to go to any length to change that. So, Anas allegedly disappeared with Rs 2 lakh of his employer to get his sex changed. He was about to undergo a breast implantation surgery, when he was caught by west Delhi Police.
DCP (west), V Ranganathan said Anas stole the money when his employer gave him Rs 2 lakh to hand it over to a business associate. The incident took place on September 6 when Virnder Mohan, owner of a chemical manufacturing unit in Rohini, gave the amount to Anas to deliver. He dropped him off at Janakpuri Metro station from where Anas was supposed to get to Karol Bagh. But Anas did not reach the said destination. After that, Mohan lodged an FIR and following his complaint, raids were conducted at different places in the city with the help of technical surveillance.
Police informers were also deputed and Anas was finally arrested from Baljeet Nagar area of west Delhi and Rs 65,000 were recovered from his possession. "He told the police that he stole the money to get himself operated for implantation of silicone breasts as a first step to change his sex," said V Ranganathan, Additional Commissioner of police. After fleeing with the two lakh rupees that his employer had given him, the accused deposited Rs one lakh at a private clinic in East Patel Nagar for the surgery.
