Protesting villagers clash with cops in Hisar, two police buses set on fire
Hisar: Villagers protesting against the acquisition on land meant for cattle grazing clashed with the police in Haryana's Hisar district toady and allegedly set two police buses on fire.

The incident reportedly happened in Satrod village, where the police and administration officials had gone to take possession of the land.

As the mob turned violent, it pelted stones on the officials, who had to resort to lathicharge and tear gas shelling to bring the situation under control.

At least two police vehicles were set on fire in the clash and several policemen were injured.

The district administration has suspended the acquisition of the land for the time being.
