AAP leaders attacked the BJP at a press conference in Delhi today.
The Aam Aadmi Party today accused Narendra Modi's BJP of scripting a rebellion against it in Delhi, alleging that the big party is afraid the rookie will upset its plans for the general elections due by May.
An AAP spokesperson alleged that Narendra Modi, who is the BJP's prime ministerial candidate, and his senior party colleague Arun Jaitley, were "conspiring" to bring down the month-old
Arvind Kejriwal government. AAP has announced a "tell-all" campaign against the Congress and the BJP.
(Watch video here)On Sunday, Mr Modi added the AAP to his list of political targets at an election rally in Uttar Pradesh. In scathing criticism he said, "We should see Delhi as a global city. But in the last few days, the language and actions have brought disrepute, not only to the national capital but to the entire country... African women were ill-treated. Daughters from Manipur were ill-treated. Now a son from Arunachal Pradesh has been killed. This does not cover us with glory."

He did not name Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal or his law minister Somnath Bharti, who had led a midnight raid last month targeting Nigerian and Ugandan nationals residing in a south Delhi locality, but said the incident had brought "disgrace" to India globally.

They accused the BJP of backing the rebellion of Vinod Kumar Binny, who was recently expelled by AAP for indiscipline. Mr Binny claims that he has the support of four legislators and has threatened to pull the rug from under Arvind Kejriwal's minority government in Delhi.

Mr Modi's attack on AAP came two days after Mr Kejriwal announced that his year-old party will contest more than 350 seats in the general elections due by May. AAP is being seen as a potential spoiler in what the BJP sees as its best chance in years to wrest back power at the Centre.
