New Delhi:
Three years after Mumbai was hit by the worst-ever terror attack in the country, External Affairs Minister SM Krishna today reminded Pakistan that India was still awaiting "decisive" action against perpetrators of the 26/11 carnage.
"We are still waiting for Pakistan to act decisively to bring to justice the perpetrators of the mindless violence that was unleashed on Mumbai. We are still waiting...I once again call on our neighbour to bring the perpetrators of the crime to speedy justice", Mr Krishna told mediapersons.
Reminding Islamabad that the fight against terrorism could not be selective, the minister said that the evidence provided by New Delhi was "sufficient" to nail the culprits in "any normal court".
Mr Krishna's comments come in the wake of Pakistan having expressed its inability in taking action against Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed who is considered by India as the mastermind of the dastardly attacks. Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik had, just last night, said that India hadn't provided sufficient evidence against the JuD chief.
"As far as Hafiz Saeed is concerned, there is no evidence against him. We had initially arrested him, then he got relief from both the High Court and the Supreme Court. We couldn't keep him in jail. Three FIRs were registered against him for making fiery speeches, but the cases collapsed in court. He is still under observation. If he makes any additional statement against the establishment, we will register a case against him", Mr Rehman had said.
(Watch)Even as Pakistan continues to dilly-dally in taking action against the accused, Mr Krishna said modalities were being worked out for the visit of a judicial commission from Pakistan.
