New Delhi:
Aam Aadmi Party presser on the Lok Sabha elections. A national executive meet is in session on Saturday and Sunday to decide the plan of the party for the upcoming elections. Here are the highlights:
- Hope has been given to the people of India.
- They have realised that there is no solution to the corruption in India.
- Only a clean government can help this nation.
- AAP has decided that they we will run in the Lok Sabha elections at a national level and for the maximum seats possible.
- We will ascertain in the coming months from which seats our candidates can run for the elections.
- If any candidate or a collector has criminal charges, we will check it and take action against it.
- A complete background screening of every applicant will be done and PAC (Public Accounts Committee) will take final action.
- The meeting which will continue tomorrow will decide all the particulars of the candidate selection.
- Rahul Gandhi and Narendra Modi will not be an issue for us, the problems of the common man will be our main focus.
- There is the same enthusiasm in villages as in big cities about the formation of a party for the aam aadmi.
- We will not decide who our PM candidate will be now. It will be decided after the results of the LS elections.
- A local manifesto for the LS elections will be formed.
- Small and important issues like corruption, water shortage, electricity cuts will be the main issue in our campaign.
- After the Delhi elections, we have received feedback. And we have decided to run for maximum seats based on that feedback.
- The government uses the public for their votes, but later decisions are made based on big industrialists and other political parties but not the public.
- Arvind Kejriwal is the leader of AAP. But the question of the PM candidate does not hold importance for us.
- Any decision that will be taken will be told to the media and the public as soon as it is made.
- By February 15, we will release almost all the candidate names to the public.
