New Delhi:
In some relief for Maharashtra in the battle for Belgaum, the Supreme Court has allowed the state to file an amended application to challenge the validity of State Re-organisation Act.
For years there has been a boundary dispute between Karnataka and Maharashtra over Belgaum.
Last week, the Centre, in its affidavit, rejected Maharashtra's claim saying language can't be the only criteria for deciding state boundaries.
Maharashtra had called the Centre's affidavit discriminatory against Marathi speaking people.
