Bodies of four jawans from Bihar who were killed in an ambush by Pakistani soldiers in Jammu and Kashmir reached in Patna on Wednesday night.
Bodies of Vijay Rai of Bihta in rural Patna, Shambhu Saran Singh from Bhojpur, Premnath Singh and Raghunandan from Chhapra were brought here in an Air Force special plane.
Danapur regiment commandant AK Yadav and his deputy Asif Hussain were at the Jaiprakash Narayan Airport to receive bodies of the martyrs which reached Patna at about 10 pm.
Besides, senior officials of Danapur regiment, Bihar government and a number of politicians like BJP's Sushil Kumar Modi and RJD's Bhai Birendra were present at the airport.
After according military honours and laying wreath by senior army and state government officials the bodies were loaded in separate trucks to be taken to their homes.
Officials said while body of Vijay Rai would be taken to Danapur cantonment, the rest three others would be taken straight to their native places in Bhojpur and Saran districts.
The Bihar government has announced state funeral to all the jawans killed at Sarla sector at Line of Control in Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday.
Sushil Modi told reporters, "India should give reply to Pakistan in the same language it was doing with our country."
BJP workers who were gathered at the airport shouted anti-Pakistani slogans.
