External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj
New York:
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will raise the issue of Chinese incursions with her Chinese counterpart Wang Yi during their meeting in New York on the sidelines of UN General Assembly.
Ms Swaraj, who met her counterparts from the UK, Sudan, the Maldives, Norway, Kyrgyzstan, Greece and Nigeria in back-to- back meetings after landing in New York yesterday, is scheduled to meet the Chinese Foreign Minister today.
When asked whether she will raise the issue of Chinese incursions during her meeting with Wang, Ms Swaraj replied, "Yes".
Both India and China have been involved in a face-off at Chumur in South East Ladakh. Sources told NDTV that after a marathon flag meeting on Thursday, both sides have agreed to pull back troops from point 30R and adjoining areas in Chumur from Friday.
The withdrawal of troops will be carried out in four phases, sources added.
