Ranchi:
Eight Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans and three Jharkhand police officers were today killed in a landmine blast by Maoists at Dhardhariya village in Jharkhand's Lohardaga district, police said.
A vehicle in the CRPF convoy, that was on a long-range patrolling, passed over a landmine causing a blast.
Soon after the attack, a gunfight broke out between the Maoists and the security forces in the area under Sendha police station, officials said.
In another incident, CRPF personnel and the Maoists exchanged gunfire at the extremist-affected Jhumra hills of Bokaro district.
The firefight was still going, police said. (With PTI Inputs)
