Jaipur:
The Rajasthan government said on Wednesday that RSS leader Indresh Kumar could soon be questioned for his alleged role in the Ajmer Dargah blast in 2007. Three people were killed and another 15 injured.
Kumar's name figured in the chargesheet filed last week by the Anti-Terror Squad, which claims he presided over a secret meeting held in Jaipur where the blast was plotted.
"After his interrogation, he may even be chargesheeted. We have strong evidence that Indresh Kumar had allotted the basic tasks to the key conspirators - who will do the recce at the blast site, who will plant the bombs, who will buy the mobiles to trigger the blast. It's Indresh who gave all these guidelines," said Rajasthan Home Minister Shanti Dhariwal.
The minister said that the Anti-Terror Squad is expected to interrogate Kumar soon.
"All these allegations are baseless and fabricated. It's a political vendetta to defame the RSS," said Kanhiya Lal Chaturvedi, an RSS spokesperson.
Sources in the Anti-Terror Squad, however, say that Kumar's involvement has been confirmed in the confessions made by three men arrested in connection with the blast.
