Hyderabad:
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has decided to organize a nationwide dharna on November 10 in protest against the 'vindictive and politically motivated anti-Hindu and anti-RSS canards' allegedly being spread by Congress-led UPA government.
"The proposed dharna to be organized at all district headquarters in the states across the country is intended to create public awareness by exposing evil design of some vested interests and their baseless charges against RSS," Ram Madhav, RSS spokesperson told reporters.
Alleging that attempts were being made to wrongly implicate functionaries of RSS in some bomb blast cases in the recent times, he said, "It was a deep-rooted political conspiracy to silence patriotic and nationalist voices in the country by wrongly implicating functionaries of the RSS."
Referring to chargesheet filed by Rajasthan ATS in Ajmer blast case, Ram Madhav said the chargesheet projects every accused as an RSS activist while the fact remains that none, except the Bihar Vibhag Pracharak Devendra Gupta, had anything to do with the RSS for last several years.
"As part of a conspiracy to defame RSS which was always committed to impart character, discipline and patriotism in the society, the UPA government was trying to target patriotic organisations like RSS for its political gain," he alleged.
Replying to a query, Ram Madhav said, "It was a shocking quote that the helpless Central government does not have courage to take action against Gilani and Arundhati Roy who gave most objectionable speeches in Delhi."
