Singapore:
The Singapore government Saturday extended its "deepest condolences" to the family of the young woman who died in Singapore on Saturday after she was savagely gang-raped and tortured in the Indian capital.
The 23-year-old, who suffered multiple organ failure after the December 16 rape, passed away at 4.45 a.m. (2.15 IST) with her family and Indian diplomats by her side at Singapore's Mount Elizabeth Hospital.
Singapore's foreign ministry spokesman said: "We are saddened to learn that she has succumbed to her injuries, and would like to extend our deepest condolences to her family during this time of bereavement."
