The CPM-Trinamool politics over dead bodies in West Bengal is intensifying.
Today, Kolkata is bracing for a major rally by Trinamool leader Mamata Banerjee with the bodies of three Trinamool workers killed since Wednesday.
This is the second such procession in Kolkata with dead bodies of political workers killed in violence.
The CPM and the Trinamool have been trading charges over the killing of their activists in political clashes over the past several days.
Last month, Trinamool Congress had taken out a similar procession carrying the body of a party worker killed in Lalgarh, but Mamata had not taken part in it.
Trinamool members say the bodies of the party workers will be kept near Esplanade for people to visit and pay their respects.
Mamata Banerjee has accused CPM workers of targeting local Trinamool leaders ahead of elections.
