Washington:
US President Barack Obama condemned an attack in Paris today on the offices of a satirical newspaper that left 12 dead, calling it a "terrorist attack" and pledging US assistance.
"We are in touch with French officials and I have directed my administration to provide any assistance needed to help bring these terrorists to justice," he said.
At least 12 people were killed when gunmen armed with Kalashnikovs and a rocket-launcher opened fire in the offices of French satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo today, said sources close to the investigation.
