Congress President Sonia Gandhi to Campaign in Bihar on October 3

Patna: Congress president Sonia Gandhi will visit Bihar on October 3 to campaign for the high-stake Assembly poll in the state, the first phase of which will be held on October 12, a party leader said in Patna today.

Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee president Ashok Chaudhary told reporters that Mrs Gandhi would visit Bihar on October 3 to canvass for Congress candidates in the fray in the first phase of the Assembly polls on October 12.

The final schedule of the Congress president's Bihar visit will be decided in a day or two, he said.

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi and other senior party leaders will also campaign for party candidates in all five phases of the Assembly polls, Mr Chaudhary said.

As per seat sharing, JD-U and RJD are contesting for 101 seats each while Congress on 41 seats.
