Directorate of Revenue Intelligence officials have seized Rs 66 lakh foreign currency from a Singapore bound passenger.
DRI officials, acting on specific intelligence inputs, intercepted a passenger who was about to board a flight to Singapore yesterday, DRI sources said.
Investigations revealed he was carrying foreign currency equivalent of Rs 66 lakh in his checked-in baggage, they said.
The currency was recovered and the passenger detained. Further investigation is on, they said.
