Shimla:
Six persons, including two women, were killed and 25 others injured, four of them seriously, when a private bus fell into Machhada Khud in Rampur area on Friday morning.
32 persons were onboard the ill-fated private bus, which was on its way from Jeory to Shimla when the mishap occurred about 120 km from here, police said.
The injured persons were rushed to civil hospital at Rampur while four seriously injured persons were referred to IGMC hospital.
The deceased were identified as Seema Devi (35), Amit Sharma (23), from Nirmand, Prem Raj (49), Himesh Kapoor (40), Ved Prakash (29) of Kumarsein and Pankaj (25) from Chhapra in Bihar.
The district administration has announced an immediate relief of Rs 10,000 to the next of kin of the deceased and Rs 5,000 each to the seriously injured persons.
Meanwhile, Chief minister Virbhadra Singh has expressed deep shock and grief over the incident and asked the district administration to provide all possible help to them.
