Delhi University admissions begin on Thursday and while no college has asked for 100 per cent in the first cut-off list announced last night, students still need 99 to get into most courses.

The scores needed for commerce and economics courses in most colleges have gone up. For science subjects, the cut-off has either remained the same as last year or dipped.
The Ramjas College has announced the highest cut-off - 99.25 per cent - for its BCom Honours course. It has asked for 98.5 per cent for economics.
The cut-off for Hansraj College is unchanged. The highest that it wants is 98 per cent, for economics.
Sri Ram College of Commerce or SRCC, one of the best in the country for commerce and economics, has kept the ceiling at 98.25 per cent for Economics Honours and 98 per cent for BCom Honours.
Miranda House has announced a 97.75 limit for economics. It has kept the cut-off for science courses the same as last year.
Lady Sri Ram or LSR College has announced a 98.50 per cent cut-off for psychology, 98.25 per cent for English, 98 per cent for economics and the same for commerce.
The St Stephen's College had announced its list earlier. It has set a 99 per cent ceiling for English honours.
Delhi University colleges have made news over the past few years with their sky-high limits for admission into courses. Last year, two colleges announced 100 per cent cut-offs for Computer Science courses.
This year, Delhi University admissions have gone completely online. The registration began on June 1 and will continue till June 22.
The prestigious university has received 2.5 lakh applications for 54,000 seats in 61 colleges.
