AAP Suspends Kapil Mishra Who Accused Arvind Kejriwal Of Corruption

Kapil Mishra has accused Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of receiving Rs. 2 crore cash in an illegal deal

Sacked minister Kapil Mishra, who accused Arvind Kejriwal of corruption, said 'won't join BJP'

New Delhi: Former Delhi minister Kapil Mishra, who has thrown sensational corruption charges at his boss Arvind Kejriwal, was suspended today by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) shortly after he came out with another set of allegations against the Chief Minister and dared the party to throw him out.

He declared that he would "never join the BJP", denying that he was a pawn against AAP.

Mr Mishra was sacked on the weekend as Water Minister, and a day later, he went public with the allegation that he had seen Mr Kejriwal receive Rs 2 crore from another minister, Satyendar Jain, at his home on Friday.

"There is a limit to lying. I wasn't present at the Chief Minister's residence on 5 May, Friday, and I can prove it in many ways," Satyendar Jain, the Delhi Health Minister, said. He is likely to sue Mr Mishra for defamation.

Mr Mishra had also claimed that Mr Jain told him about helping Mr Kejriwal's relative with a 50-crore deal.

Goaded by AAP to furnish proof of his allegations, Mr Mishra today said, "Satyendar Jain told me that he had facilitated a deal for a 7-acre farmhouse for Arvind Kejriwal's brother-in-law."

AAP ripped into Mr Mishra for dragging in Mr Kejriwal's relative, who had died this morning.

"Have some humanity. Not even two hours after the cremation, allegations are being made against the person," said Manish Sisodia.

Mr Mishra also came out with two more charges - that fake bills worth Rs 10 crore were cleared for Mr Kejriwal's brother-in-law and tickets to contest the Punjab and Delhi civic polls were sold to candidates at a price.

"This is not the Arvind Kejriwal whom we worshipped and revered, with whom we fought corruption. This Kejriwal is hungry for power and wants to cling to his seat (Chief Ministership)", said Mr Mishra.

"The day Satyendar Jain is arrested, Arvind Kejriwal will have to step down," he declared.

Though he declared that he had shared details of his allegations with the anti-corruption branch or ACB of the Delhi Police, its chief MK Meena denied it.

Earlier today, Mr Mishra said, "I want that Arvind Kejriwal, Satyendar Jain and I should undergo a lie-detector test."
