NIRF India Rankings 2017: Top 10 Engineering Colleges
New Delhi:
Human Resourses Development Minister Prakash Javadekar released the NIRF India Ranking 2017 at a press conference conducted in Delhi today. This ranking from HRD Ministry is based on the performance of more than 3000 technological institutes, colleges and universities across India. In the Engineering colleges category, all the top seven places went to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). IIT Madras, IIT Bombay and IIT Kharagpur were placed in the top three positions while the ranking saw Anna University, Chennai and Jadavpur University Kolkata in the top 10.
Here are the Top Ten Engineering Colleges listed in the NIRF India Ranking 2017:
National Institute of Technology (NIT) Tiruchirappalli, NIT Rourkela, Vellore Institute of Technology, Institute of Chemical Technology, IIT Indore, Birla Institute of Technology & Science -Pilani, Indian Institute of Engineering Science And Technology, Shibpur, IIT Bhubaneswar, IIT Patna and Jamia Millia Islamia secured next 10 positions in this category.
