New Delhi:

Akshay Kumar's Gold, which scored the third highest opening day collection of 2018, stars Akshay Kumar as Tapan Das, a character which is based on the man who lead India to a win gold at the 1948 London Olympics - India's first spectacular win as a free nation. Which should ideally mean lots of hockey practice on the sets of the Reema Kagti-directed film. But in a behind-the-scenes video released by the film's team, Akshay and his co-stars Kunal Kapoor, Amit Sadh, Vineet Kumar Singh, Sunny Kaushal and others can be seen playing football, cricket, badminton, tennis, throw ball, dog and bone, dumb charades, arm wrestling, uno and what not.

"We started because I wanted all of us to bond. We used to play everything, every game. We have even played marbles. We played cricket... we used to play catch catch..." said Akshay, who has quite a bit of a reputation for being a prankster, a glimpse of which is there in the video as well. During a lottery session on sets, he can be seen calling out the winning numbers, all of which apparently belong to him - this was hilariously protested by Mouni Roy, who plays Akshay's onscreen wife in the film.

In the video, Akshay Kumar also stressed on the importance of sports in encouraged the viewers to encourage children to take up some sport or the other: "I would want to request the parents to encourage their kids to go outdoors, pursue any sport, not necessarily hockey."
