Ahmedabad:
51 people have died in Gujarat in the last two-and-half months due to swine flu, state health authorities said.
As per the daily health bulletin issued by the state government, 51 people have died due in the state since August 1.
A total of 457 patients were infected with H1N1 virus and 362 of them have been cured, while 44 are still undergoing treatment, the bulletin said.
According to the report, one person died due to swine flu in Junagadh on Friday, even as five fresh cases were registered in different districts, including one each in Porbandar, Junagadh, Sabarkantha, Kutch and Ahmedabad districts, stated the report.
Between January and March this year, the deadly virus claimed over 420 lives across the state, while more than 6,400 were hospitalised after being infected by the virus.
