Access Denied: No Internet In Kashmir After Broadband Snapped

Mobile internet was suspended across Kashmir as a precautionary measure to prevent rumour mongering.

Srinagar: Kashmir has been completely cut off from the internet after broadband services were suspended today.

Mobile internet services have been snapped since the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Burhan Wani on July 8.

However, the services are active in Bemina, Lal Chowk and Sonawar areas of Srinagar -- where most of the government offices are located.

Internet services have been snapped across Kashmir as a precautionary measure to prevent rumour mongering following violent clashes between protesters and security forces in which over 60 people have been killed and more than 7,000 have been injured.
