New Delhi:

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today announced a compensation of Rs 20,000 for per acre of damaged crops to farmers in Delhi and said his government will fulfill all the promises made by the Aam Admi Party or AAP in the run up to Delhi assembly polls.

Addressing a rally at Mundka in West Delhi, Mr Kejriwal said farmers of Delhi have faced huge losses due to unseasonal rains and the AAP government would stand by them in their time of difficulty.

"We will provide a relief of Rs 20,000 per acre to farmers who have faced losses due to crop damage. This is the highest compensation announced by any government so far," he said.

Referring to the rift in the AAP, Mr Kejriwal claimed there have been efforts to defame him.

The Chief Minister also listed various initiatives taken by his government and said giving 50 per cent power subsidy to around 90 per cent of the total consumers was a major decision.

"The Congress and the BJP could not slash power tariff. We could do it as our intention is very clear," he said.
