New Delhi:
On a day when the Congress suffered another electoral setback in Jharkhand and won only 12 seats in Jammu and Kashmir, the party has decided to reschedule its internal elections.
Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi had earlier pledged to hold internal elections across all the rungs of the party.
The party has now decided to extend the enrollment process of members by two months and extended the deadline for enlisting Congress workers till February 2015.
Meanwhile, Mr Gandhi is scheduled to meet senior leaders from his party to understand the reasons behind the Congress's poor performance in the recently held assembly elections, including the ones in Haryana and Maharashtra.
