Jaipur:
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was attacked with ink on Tuesday in Rajasthan's Bikaner, where he had gone to attend a condolence meeting at the home of a local leader of his Aam Aadmi Party.
Police sources said they have taken into custody Dinesh Ojha, a leader of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad or ABVP, a student body linked to the BJP.Witnesses said as Mr Kejriwal was leaving the home of AAP's Shankar Sevadas around 10 pm, Dinesh Ojha threw ink at Mr Kejriwal, accusing him of being "anti-national".
Mr Kejriwal has been attacked by the ruling BJP for his comments urging the government to "expose Pakistan's propaganda" on the surgical strikes conducted by the Indian Army across the Line of Control last week.
The BJP on Tuesday accused the Delhi chief minister of "doubting the armed forces," with senior union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad saying, "When the entire country is united, one chief minister has said something that has prompted Pakistan and its army to raise questions."
The AAP chief has said he felt "sad" at being accused of politics when he had "supported the government and the army."
Mr Kejriwal has faced ink attacks before. In January this year, an AAP rebel had thrown ink at the Chief Minister at a Delhi stadium.
At that time, the Delhi government had accused the Delhi Police of slacking on the Chief Minister's security and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia had called it a BJP conspiracy.
