Jammu:

The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was today reopened for one-way traffic after it was closed in the wake of a landslide triggered by heavy rains in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir.

"The highway was reopened for vehicular traffic this afternoon after clearance of the landslide, making it trafficable for one-way," an official of the Police Control Room (PCR) said.

The highway was closed in the wake of a big landslide triggered by heavy rains at Khari belt on Chenani-Udhampur stretch highway around 9 pm last night.

Big rocks have blocked the highway, he said, adding large number of vehicles remained stranded on the highway as a result of the blockade.
