Jaipur: Rajasthan Assembly witnessed a furore after a remark by Congress MLA Raghu Sharma that former CM Vasundhara Raje was known as 'No CM after 8 pm'.
"I just said why are you accusing us? In your tenure you were known as no CM after 8 pm," said Sharma.
Deeply offended by the remark and its slanderous implications, Vasundhara Raje rushed into the well of the House and in turn took a dig at the offending Congress MLA's personal life.
"Vasundhara said how would you feel if somebody said that your wife drinks every night and then dances on the streets?" Sharma said.
Both parties are now demanding the other side to apologise.
"This has reduced the proceedings in the House to something like a fight in a vegetable market," BJP leader Rajendra Singh Rathore said.
So far the comments are on record and it has certainly given an unsavoury flavour to the budget session of the Rajasthan Assembly.
