BSP has agreed to suspend its protest for 36 hours, after the police assured it that Mr Singh would be arrested by then.

Ms Mayawati said that the BJP should have filed an FIR against Dayashankar for his abusive remarks on the BSP leader. "If BJP leaders themselves filed an FIR against Dayashankar Singh, then they would have won my heart,"Ms Mayawati said while commented on the matter.
JD(U) leader Sharad Yadav says the expelled BJP leader Dayashankar Singh must be booked under SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act.
The BJP leader however warned that the issue should not be used for political mileage. "We are the same BJP, we have atoned for Dayashankar's slur. We have taken action. I know how she must feel as a woman. If Mayawati ji is attacked again we'll stand with her again. But if she wants to use this in polls then she should forget abt it: Uma Bharti," Ms Bharti pointed out.
BJP leader Uma Bharti says that BJP strongly condemns remarks passed by Dayashankar against Mayawati. "When SP attacked BSP & Mayawati ji in that guest house 20 years back, BJP had helped her even then," Uma Bharti said on the issue.

Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia has asked for legal proceedings against Dayashankar Singh, the BJP Uttar Pradesh Vice President who was expelled from the party for his comments against BSP leader Mayawati. "Legal proceedings should be carried out against Dayashankar Singh," Jyotiraditya Scindia told the Lok Sabha
Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia on Dayashankar Singh Mr Singh said that his government will always maintain a tough stand on terrorism. "Terrorism will not be tolerated at any cost. A terrorist is a terrorist. And I applaud the security forces for the excellent work they have done over the years to neutralize militancy and terrorism,"Mr Singh said in the Lok Sabha.
Rajnath Singh said that the government will constitute a committee to review the use of pellet guns for crowd control. The committee will submit report in two months, Mr Singh said.

We aim to see peace in Kashmir, but there is no doubt that the neighbouring country has its evil eyes set on Kashmir. The neighbouring country has a continuous plan to keep Kashmir destabilized: Mr Singh told the Lok Sabha.

The Home Minister urged all the parties to come together to address the issue. "The Kashmir issue needs to be dealt with collectively. Everyone needs to partake in the responsibility of making the situation better," Mr Singh said.
Mr Singh claimed that the government has taken all the necessary measures to find a solution to the clashes in the Valley.
Mr Singh said that PM Modi was worried about the situation even during his visits to foreign countries.
Mr Singh also replies to Opposition charges on Prime Minister not taking efforts to reduce the tensions in the Kashmir Valley.
