Patna:
It was tough getting to work in Patna this morning. 23,000 auto-rickshaws are on strike to protest against "excesses by the Patna Traffic Police."
Some of the demands by auto drivers seem reasonable. Like clearly demarcated areas for autos at railway stations and bus depots. Waiting here will mean autos can avoid being fined for parking illegally to pick up passengers.
The administration says it has arranged for extra buses to help passengers cope with the rush.
