PGT Teacher Recruitment in Himachal Pradesh: Apply For 1,191 Vacant Posts

New Delhi: The Directorate of Higher Education, Himachal Pradesh has notified the recruitment of 1,191 Post Graduate Teachers (Non-gazetted) on contract basis. The application process started on September 11 and will continue till September 18, 2017. The last date to submit application for candidates from Tribal areas of Himachal Pradesh is September 20, 2017. The selection will be made on the basis of a written exam, the dates for which will be communicated at a later date through SMS. 

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates should have passed B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science/Information Technology OR B.E./B.Tech in any stream and Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science/Technology/Applications OR M.Sc. (Computer Science)/M.Sc. (IT)/MCA from a recognised university.

The upper age limit is 45 years and will be calculated as on the last date of application.

A desired condition is that the candidate should be acquainted with the customs, language, and manners of Himachal Pradesh and should be suitable for appointment in the peculiar condition prevailing in the state.

Application Process

Candidates would have to submit their application in the prescribed application format personally in the office of the Director of Higher Education, Himachal Pradesh, Shimla- 1 along with the requisite attested documents to prove their eligibility. There is no examination fee for this recruitment. 

Selected candidates would be paid fixed contractual amount of Rs. 14,500 per month.
