The man put his head in the machine thinking something was stuck in it.
In a clear case of DIY (Do It Yourself) gone horribly wrong, a man in China managed to get his head stuck in a washing machine while trying to "fix it". Face palm and epic fail would be appropriate terms here.
The man, a resident of Fujian province, was looking to do his laundry on May 29 when he realized the machine wasn't switching on, reports People's Daily, China. Thinking there was something stuck in it, the unnamed man, stuck his head inside it to check what was wrong. Only, his head didn't come out with the same ease that it went in with. Oops!
The man's roommates realized what had happened and after failed attempts to pull their friend out, called the fire department. It took six officers 40 minutes and complete dismantling of the machine to free him.
The man was luckily saved in the nick of time and got away with only a few scratches. You can't say the same for machine though.
Next time, just call the professionals.
