Petrol cars with the deepest discounts
The hike in the price of petrol is expected to further increase the demand for diesel vehicles. To counter this, top automobile companies in the country are offering a slew of discounts on petrol models.

Ford has a lot of ground to cover in India in terms of volumes, especially with stiff competition from Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai across segments. The company is offering discounts of Rs 12,000 to Rs 15,000 across petrol models in a bid to pump up the numbers.

The Indica was the first passenger car from the Tata stable, and is being exported to Europe and Africa since 2004. Sales, however, have been on a decline. It's longer cousin is the Indigo, a sedan with which it shares a lot of components. The petrol versions of both these cars will be cheaper by Rs 10,000 to Rs 50,000.

The Nano, which was touted as the Rs 1 lakh car, is among the cheapest and smallest cars all over the world. In India, it caters to the lowest passenger car segment. The company comes up with monthly discount schemes, and this month the discounts have been higher at Rs 10,000.
