These are the richest Indians

Energy tycoon and Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani is the country's richest man with a personal fortune of $19.3 billion, says a report. According to China-based research firm Hurun's inaugural India Rich List, Ambani is followed by the London-based steel baron L N Mittal who has a wealth of $16.9 billion.

    Azim Premji, chairman of Wipro, India's third-largest information technology company, is third on the list. He has a personal wealth of $12.3 billion.

    Dilip Shanghvi (above), with a personal wealth of $8.5 billion, comes next. Mr. Shanghvi is the founder and managing director of Sun Pharmaceuticals, India's fifth-largest drug maker.

    Rank 5 | Pallonji Mistry

    Pallonji Mistry, chairman of construction firm Shapoorji Pallonji Group, comes next with a personal wealth of $7.9 billion. Mr. Mistry owns 18.4 per cent stake in Tata Sons, making him the single largest shareholder in the group. His son Cyrus is the deputy chairman of the conglomerate and will succeed Ratan Tata in December.

    Next on the list is K.P. Singh, chairman of real estate major DLF, India's largest real estate developer. He has a personal wealth of $6.3 billion.
  • Rank 9 | Kumar Mangalam Birla

    Kumar Mangalam Birla, chairman of the Aditya Birla Group, is ranked next with a personal wealth of $5.8 billion.
  • Rank 10 | Shiv Nadar

    Shiv Nadar, founder and chairman of IT firm HCL, comes next. He has a personal wealth of $5.7 billion.
  • Rank 10 | Sunil Bharti Mittal

    Tied in the last place with Mr. Nadar is Sunil Bharti Mittal, chairman and group CEO of Bharti Enterprises. He, too, has a personal wealth of $5.7 billion.
