Aditya Chopra's Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge released on October 20, 1995. It's been 16 years since we first saw Raj and Simran fall in love on the big screen and we fell in love with them. Here's a look at the 10 best DDLJ moments.

London's railway station becomes the meeting point for Raj and Simran. Both go for the same Europe tour and both of them are running late. Raj manages to lead on to the train as he watches Simran running. Just in the nick of time, he extends his hand to her and then begins their journey full of love.

Stuck in the same compartment Raj tells Simran, "Yeh jo aapki aankhein hain, mujhey kisi ki yaad dilati hain."

Simran: Acha kiski?

Raj: Meri dadi ki.

Raj and Simran miss the train to Zurich and Simran blames Raj for it. She asks him not to follow her, but Raj insists that he should not leave her alone. A light hearted scene remembered for SRK's amazing comic timing.

Simran ends up inviting trouble when the cops ask her for her passport. Raj comes running to save Simran. In the car, Simran tells Raj that she is sorry about her behaviour.

Raj in return tells her, "Bade bade deshon mein aisi chhoti chhoti batein hoti rehti hain."

Simran wakes up in the morning in Raj's bed. Raj gets a cup of coffee for her and tells her how beautiful she looks in the morning. When Simran askes Raj about the previous night, he makes up a story much to Simran's distress.

Raj assures Simran: Main jaanta hun ke tum mere baare mein kya sochti ho. Tum samajhti ho ki main awaara ladka hun. Par main itna bhi gira hua nahi hun Simran. Main ek Hindustani hun aur main jaanta hun ke ek Hindustani ladki ki izzat kya hoti hai.

Raj tells Simran that he loves her for the first time on the bridge, while playing the mandolin. The "palat" scene that follows still remains one of the the most loved scenes from the movie.

Simran: Main ek baar phir train chhodna nahi chahti.

Raj: Par main chahta hun yeh train baar baar choote.

Back in London, Simran invites Raj for her wedding, but Raj tells her that he won't attend her wedding (with a wicked smile on his face). When he leaves, Simran realises that she too has fallen in love with Raj.

Simran: Main tumhein apni shaadi ka card bhejungi. Tum aaoge na?

Raj: Nahin, main nahi aayunga.

Simran leaves for Punjab with her family, but leaves the cowbell hoping that Raj would come looking for her. She was right...

Raj: Main aa raha hun Simran. Main aa raha hun.

Raj follows her and then follows the song Tujhey Dekha To Yeh Jaana Sanam - the essence of Raj and Simran's love story.

Simran keeps Karwa Chauth (not for her fiance, but for Raj), and is eagerly waiting for the moon to show up. Raj comes running to Simran telling her that she can see the moon and shows her the mirror.

Finally, when the moon is sighted, Simran acts as if she is not well and faints. Before anyone else, Raj comes running to Simran and gives her a glass of water. Simran's plan seems to have worked well this time.

Simran: I'm sorry.

Raj: Koi baat nahi Senorita. Bade bade deshon mein aisi chhoti chhoti batein hoti rehti hain.

It's hard to forget the climax of DDLJ, where Simran's father allows her to go with Raj (in the last momet), realising that he is the only one who will keep her happy.

Simran's father to Simran: Jaa Simran. Is ladke se zyaada pyaar tujhey aur koi nahi kar sakta. Jaa apne Raj ke paas jaa.
