Celebrating the spirit of freedom
August 15, 1947, a day which brought to us what was the greatest landmark in the Indian history, a day which marked a new beginning and a day which made India, the country we know today. The date was special for all Indians not only because it ended the two century Raj of the British in India but most importantly it united hundreds of princely states and provinces to form a country which now is heading towards becoming one of the greatest economies in the world. 63 years hence, here's a look at the place that the date holds in Indian hearts and the way that Indians celebrate it in all parts of the country.
