There is a huge traffic jam around the building hampering rescue efforts as more fire tenders are finding it difficult to reach the spot.

The ladders being used by the firefighters weren't high enough to allow them to reach the higher storeys. There was too much smoke inside the building for the people trapped at the top to be able to move towards the ground floor.
