Akurdi plant not closed: Rajiv Bajaj
Bajaj Auto stopped production of two-wheelers at Akurdi from September 1, less than ten days later Rajiv Bajaj issued a statement that the plant is not being closed.In an SMS to NDTV Managing Director of Bajaj Auto Rajiv Bajaj said "We never closed the plant. We simply stopped vehicle production on 1st September while continuing all other activities. That remains unchanged since. The confusion has arisen simply because these terms are sometimes used interchangeably."
