BHEL gets competition, no mega cakewalk
The turbines for all those giant 4000 MW power plants were supposed to be built by state owned BHEL and its partner Alstom. However, the Planning Commission has argued that BHEL should not be the only supplier of the huge 800 MW boilers, which are needed to run the massive projects.
