BSNL faces hurdles on IPO path

India's largest telecom operator, the state owned BSNL's much talked about IPO to raise no less than $10 billion, is on the back burner thanks to the opposition by the unions. The unions have not only opposed the IPO process but they have also rejected reports of a successful dialogue with the management. But BSNL's CMD Kuldeep Goyal knows it is important to win them over, however, for now he prefers to keep quiet.
