Duty sops for oil firms sought
It is that time of the year when North Block is buzzing with budget activity. Behind the finance ministry walls, bureaucrats have started to prepare the numbers for Budget-2008 and the largely state owned oil sector is the biggest contributor to the government's coffers. In Shashtri Bhavan, the petroleum ministry has already completed its set of proposals for budget and the ministry hopes that most of them will be accepted by the finance ministry.
