ELSS picks up steam as stocks surge

It seems that even among ordinary taxpayers wanting to save tax, there are plenty of takers for the for the equity linked tax savings scheme (ELSS). With the March 31 deadline coming up, Ganesh Shanbhag, a financial consultant has been flooded with queries of ELSS over the last couple of weeks.
