Essar ties up with Virgin for tech support
Essar is tying up with the global telecom player Virgin to expand its mobile retailing network. Virgin would provide Essar with the technological support to set up its 2,500 strong mobile retail chain. In return, Essar would pay a royalty to Virgin for lending its branding and expertise. Besides, at a later stage, Virgin might even pick up some stake.
