FM plans to tax free services offered by banks

Finance Minister P Chidambaram has plans of taxing some of the free services offered by banks and institutions. If the government has its way, all kinds of free services offered by banks to their customers might draw the service tax. This couldn't be done so far because the tax couldn't be charged on a free service.
