Govt might miss 'Power for All' by 2012

The UPA government's promise of "Power for All" by 2012 seems a far cry, unless its ambitious programme Ultra Mega power projects start delivering. It seems almost certain that Reliance Power's Sasan UMPP would not be able to meet its deadlines. In fact, the government’s own company NTPC's 1320 MW Barh-II project is also likely to miss its deadline.
